String Pulse Experience

In October 2014, over 20 string students from grades 7-12,  worked with visiting violinist, Daisy Jopling, in monthly workshops. Their efforts culminated in the “String Pulse Experience” performance at the Lake Placid Center for the Arts in April 2015. “It was a lot of fun,” said a Senior High student.  String students had the opportunity to play not only with peers from other districts, but also with professional musicians of Daisy’s band. The show was a huge success, and Daisy was especially proud of the string students for representing the string population of the North Country.  As a thank you to Peru String students The Daisy Jopling Foundation made a monetary donation to the Peru Music Boosters for the String Program. Mrs. Fitzsimmons is very proud of all of the students for donating their extra time and energy for this project. Congratulations on a job well done!
