During the weekend of November 18 & 19, 2016, selected string students participated in the annual Area All State Music Festival held at Crane’s School of Music at SUNY Potsdam. Students applied and were accepted based on NYSSMA scores from the previous school year. Students received music in late September in order to be prepared for the festival. The guest conductor, David Beck, rehearsed musicians all day Friday and Saturday morning, culminating with an outstanding performance Saturday afternoon.
